Social enterprise ... the Umoja way
We help you launch a cause marketing campaign that will boost your business and benefit a worthy cause.
The Umoja Strategic Partnership Model

Here’s how it works:
Step 1 – Strategy session
David Marshall and his Cause Marketing team spend a day with you to talk about your business vision. By the end of the session, you will have a cause marketing strategy that will engage your community and build your brand. There’s no cost or obligation for this first consulting session.
Step 2 – Select a cause project
Next we’ll help you select a project that aligns with your business and your personal passion. There’s no cost for this step. International Needs focuses on six pillars of sustainable development (see right).
Step 3 – Launch a cause marketing campaign
Once we’ve mapped out the strategy and aligned you with a cause, we’ll support you as you develop and launch a cause marketing campaign. Our team provides support for graphic design, copy writing, and web content. There may be some costs at this step, depending on the campaign.
Step 4 – Donate a portion of the proceeds
Out of the fruit of the campaign, you give back a portion to the project. This donation is tax deductible.
We encourage you to travel with some members of your team to visit the project in person. This trip will give you a deeper insight into the cause, and a chance to share your ideas and expertise with the partner.
The Umoja team will support you every step of the way!
“Don’t ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive and then go do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”
